YAMAHA VMAX BIKE CUSTOM

It seems a week can’t pass without falling in love with yet another Yamaha Yard Built project. This time, the yellow and black object of affection is a quarter-mile VMAX from the Portuguese duo at it roCkS!bikes, dubbed ‘CS_07 Gasoline.’

This is Osvaldo Coutinho and Alex Santos’ third bike for the Yard Built series. Built to celebrate 30 years of Yamaha’s muscle bike, this VMAX was designed to be quick and slippery.

CUSTOM DUCATI 900 SS

This bike, untouched by our hands, came to our shop as a tired & neglected ‘96 Ducati 900 SS/SP (Sport Production) with an insipidly boring white paint job.  We at BCR love working on Hondas & Yamahas from the ‘70s, but an increase in demand has caused the price of these bikes to rise greatly since we started this business ten years ago.  Thusly stated, we felt the need to branch out of our comfort zone & against the current of the mainstream. 

HONDA CX500 REMODELS

Kevin’s first request was to base the build on a Honda CX500. Karl felt that a Moto Guzzi would be a better option, but Kevin held his ground. A CX500 Sport with 30,000 miles on the clock was sourced.

Karl hauled the Honda back to the workshop and began stripping it with Kevin’s ideas in mind. But when he had it down to the bare frame, the brief went out the window.
